A criminal on police record, Deepak Kadam (35), was shot dead by two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle in the Sangvi area of Pimpri Chinchwad on Wednesday. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. while Kadam was standing outside a shop.

He was rushed to the hospital after the shooting but was declared dead on arrival. Police suspect the attack is linked to a past dispute (old enmity). Sangvi police have arrived at the scene and are conducting further investigations.
