Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X and extended warm wishes to everyone on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. He wished for a successful year in his post on X. He posted, “Happy Gudi Padwa! On this joyous occasion, praying for a year full of success, prosperity, and happiness. I also pray for everyone’s good health and well-being.”
Taking to X, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis extended greetings of Gudi Padwa to everyone in a unique way. He posted a video describing various schemes that are being implemented in Maharashtra. He posted, “Heartfelt wishes on Gudi Padwa and Marathi New Year! Let's build the Gudi of public welfare with good governance! Heartiest greetings on Gudi Padwa and Marathi New Year!”

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde too extended greetings to citizens of Maharashtra. He posted on X, “The resolve for prosperity needs to be supported by action.Let us build a new tower of development and trust. Happy Gudi Padwa and Happy New Year!”
A significant Hindu festival, Gudi Padwa, is mostly observed in Maharashtra, Goa, and some regions of Karnataka. According to the Hindu lunisolar calendar, it is the start of the new year.
