TikTok star Pooja Chavan's father Lahu Chavan has made an important statement in his daughter's suicide case. The audio clips that went viral is not Pooja's voice. We have no complaints or doubt against anyone regarding Pooja's death. So don't hurt us by defaming in the society, pleaded Lahu Chavan. Minister Sanjay Rathod, whose name is being linked in the case, is like Pooja's father, he told Lokmat.
Pooja Chavan was living with her parents at Deshmukh Par in Parli city. Her father has a poultry farm at Vasantnagar Tanda near Parli. Pooja had also opened a poultry farm three years ago. However, over the last two years it has suffered losses, due to which his daughter was in stress, said Lahu Chavan.
She had gone to Pune eight days ago. She wanted to live. But died suddenly. "I have no doubt on anyone or want to blame anyone. Her death has come as a shock to our family," he said. Pooja has five sisters. Pooja was the strongest. Lahu Chavan said that she was the backbone of his family and appealed to the media to stop defamating Pooja. "I told her not to take stress about the debt, we would take loan," he said.
The deceased Chavan (22) - hailed from Beed district and had just come to Pune to attend an English-speaking course. She was living along with two youth, said to be her brother and his friend. On February 8, she allegedly committed suicide by jumping off a building named Heaven Park in the Wanawadi area of the city, sparking off a controversy.
An MVA minister Sanjay Rathod's name has been allegedly linked to the girl. Ex-Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadavnis demanded that the death of Pooja Chavan should be investigated as the alleged phone conversation between Pooja and Sanjay Rathod became viral. She was 22 and pregnant with the illegitimate child of this Minister and hence committed suicide.
