After the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, actress Kangana Ranaut said she feared Mumbai Police more than the "movie mafia".

In one of her tweet the Bollywood actress compared Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir. She said, "Sanjay Raut Shiv Sena leader has given me an open threat and asked me not to come back to Mumbai, after Aazadi graffitis in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?"

Her tweet angered Mumbaikars and they came together on Twitter to slam Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut after she compared the city with Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Saranaik gave warning to Kangana and said, "If she comes here, our warriors will break her mouth.” He even urged the Home Minister to file a sedition case against the actress for her remark."

The National Commission for Women (NCW) jumped into controversy after Sarnaik used abusive language. After this, Saranaik has clarified his role in two tweets. NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma on Friday said that Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik's threat to actress Kangana Ranaut is highly objectionable and she will write to DGP of Maharashtra to arrest him.

After this, Saranaik has clarified his role in two tweets. “I stand by my statement. Maharashtra got Mumbai because of the martyrdom of 106 heroes in the Samyukta Maharashtra Movement. If anyone says anything about Mumbai, which we got after shedding the blood of Marathi manus, I will definitely not tolerate it,” he tweeted in Marathi.

In another tweet, he said, “The BJP has played a game of arresting me by colluding with the NCW. But no matter how many times I have to go to jail for the pride of Mumbai and Maharashtra, I am ready.”
