Today is the third day of the state's budget session, and all the ruling MLAs are united against Sanjay Raut today. With MP Sanjay Raut referring to the legislature as a "chormandal", the ruling party has raised the issue in the legislature and demanded a breach of privilege. State deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis lashed out at Sanjay Raut over this.

Sanjay Raut's statement has also evoked strong reactions in the Legislative Council. Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis condemned Raut's statement, saying "Sanjay Raut is calling us ‘chormandal’. Uddhav Thackeray is also a member of the same House, so are we all thieves?" Such a question has been asked by Devendra Fadnavis to Raut.

He further said, "The Legislature of Maharashtra is said to be the best legislature in the country. But if the legislature is given the right to be called a thief, then no one will trust this legislature. Speaking against the court is contempt of court. Also, a disqualification arrangement has been made so that no one can speak on the Legislative Council."

Fadnavis adds, "Sanjay Raut is not an ordinary leader, he is a Rajya Sabha member. If the leaders of the big house do this, how will they tolerate it? If you want to infringe on the right, then take it or not take it. But if we don't register a protest, then tomorrow thousands of Sanjay Rauts will call the legislature a thief. As a government official, I am aware of the public's concerns. No matter who the person is from our party, he will not tolerate insults to the legislature." Fadnavis also said, "the public is seeing what action should be taken against such a person."
