Protestors to agitate over naming of Navi Mumbai airport today, traffic diversion announced

Police have given a place in front of the Navi Mumbai municipal headquarters on Palm Beach Road for protestors today who are demanding for naming the airport after Dinkar Balu Patil. Therefore, protesters will gather on the Palm Beach route between Nerul and Belapur. For this, changes have also been made in the traffic on the Palm Beach route. The Palm Beach route between Nerul and Belapur will be closed for traffic today. Only protesters' vehicles will be allowed to enter from Nerul. These vehicles will be able to reach Karave village and their parking has been arranged by the organizers of the agitation. Other private vehicles passing through Palm Beachfrom Nerul via Rajiv Gandhi Bridge will be diverted to L. P bridge.

More than 50,000 protesters from Navi Mumbai, Panvel, Uran, Kalyan, Dombivali and Palghar are expected to participate in the agitation. The possibility of traffic jams in Navi Mumbai today cannot be ruled out due to their vehicles. Therefore, traffic police has also been deployed at the required places. The protestors will agitate  in front of the corporation headquarters
