Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray has levelled serious allegations against NCP president Sharad Pawar over the issue of electricity bill hike. "Earlier, a minister in the state government asked me to waive the electricity bill. But when I met Adani at Sharad Pawar's house, he announced that the government would not waive any electricity bill. This government is backing the power companies," Raj Thackeray alleged. Raj Thackeray appeared in Belapur court in Navi Mumbai today. He then met party workers in Thane and interacted with the media. Raj commented on various issues.

"If the government is going to exploit people as the power companies has not benefited, how is this going to work? First, the power minister says we will waive the electricity bill. Then he took U-turn. Then I went to meet the governor. Then he asked me to talk to Sharad Pawar,Thackeray said.

Raj Thackeray said that he met Sharad Pawar on the issue of electricity bill as per the advice of the Governor. Sharad Pawar said write a letter in the name of the power companies and send it to me. Then Sharad Pawar was going to talk to all those companies whether it was Adani, MMEB or Tata. But after 5-6 days I came to know that Gautam Adani came to meet Sharad Pawar. I don't know. After that, the government announced that the electricity bill will not be waived. Therefore, journalists need to ask questions to the Chief Minister and the Power Minister about this, "said Raj Thackeray.
