On the occasion of Ram Navami, many devotees across different temples in Maharashtra stepped out to pray at Ram Temples. At Shri Poddareshwar Ram Temple in Nagpur, Mangal Arti was performed by priests. Ram Navami is an Indian Hindu festival commemorating the birth of Ram, one of Hinduism's most well-known deities and the seventh avatar of Vishnu. He is frequently used in Hinduism as a figure of an ideal ruler and human because of his righteousness, courteous behaviour, and virtue. The event takes place on the ninth day of the bright half (Shukla Paksha) of the lunar cycle of Chaitra (March-April), the first month in the Hindu calendar. It is also celebrated during the Chaitra Navratri festival in the spring.

A devotee speaking with the News Agency ANI said, "I prayed to God that our nation would reach new heights of development." Another devotee said, "The excitement for this year's Ram Navami is double as after many years, Ram Lalla became 'virajman' in Ayodhya."

On Ram Navami, devotees flocked to Shree Ram Mandir in Mumbai's Wadala to offer prayers.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis extended greetings to all on the occasion of Ram Navami. He wrote on X, “Heartiest greetings to all on the auspicious Shri Ram Navami!”

To prevent any law and order problems, all Maharashtra Police units have been asked to stay vigilant and take the necessary precautions in advance of today's Ram Navami celebrations. The decision was made in light of the communal violence that was reported during the Ram Navami processions in several parts of the state last year. An officer stated that security will be stepped up in areas of Maharashtra where similar incidents have happened and that drone surveillance will be employed in key locations. Local police stations have reportedly been told to be cautious after officials allegedly saw attempts by some organisers to alter the traditional paths for the Ram Navami parade, according to media reports.

In India, the traditions and customs associated with Ram Navami vary by region. Reciting excerpts from the Hindu sacred text Ramayana, which narrates the tale of Ram, is how the day is commemorated. To commemorate the event, Vaishnava Hindus go to temples, pray, fast, listen to spiritual lectures, and sing kirtans or bhajans. Some devotees place Ram's image in a cot and worship him like a baby. There are also plans for communal feasts and charitable events. Important rites are held on this day at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and many other Ram temples across India. Many places host the ratha yatra of Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman. Before visiting the Rama temple in Ayodhya, many people take a dip in the revered Sarayu River.
