All Maharashtra Police units have been urged to exercise vigilance and take the appropriate safety measures in anticipation of today's Ram Navami celebrations in order to avoid any law and order issues. The decision was made against the backdrop of communal hostilities that were recorded during last year's Ram Navami processions in several sections of the state. According to an officer, drone surveillance will be used in critical places, and security will be increased in regions of Maharashtra where similar instances have occurred. According to media reports the local police stations have been instructed to exercise caution after authorities reportedly noticed attempts by some organisers to change the customary routes for the Ram Navami parade.

According to an official, more than 13,500 police officers have been deployed across Mumbai to keep the peace for Sunday's Ram Navami festivities. According to him, drones would be employed in some locations to keep an eye on processions or "Shobha Yatra." The increased deployment in the city follows previous communal occurrences, such as the Nagpur Violence that broke out on March 17.

On the ninth day of Chaitra, the first month in the Hindu calendar, people celebrate Ram Navami. The official added that large crowds are anticipated to attend processions.

“There would be 11,000 constables, 2,500 officers, 51 Assistant Commissioners of Police and 20 Deputy Commissioners of Police on duty. Nine State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) platoons will also be on the streets apart from other specialised units," an official said reported PTI.

500 constables, 50 officers, SRPF, Riot Control Police, and reserve police are among the sufficient force that has been stationed in the region, said DCP of Mumbai Police Anand Bhoite. To maintain calm, police met with Mohalla and peace committees prior to the celebration, according to the official. They also had conversations with local political and religious leaders.
