The NIA will enlist the help of his then colleagues at the CIU to expose the allegations leveled against Sachin Vaze, a suspended police officer arrested in connection with the recovery of explosives from a car parked near Mukesh Ambani's house in Mumbai on February 25. Sources said that Assistant Inspectors Riaz Qazi and Prashant Ovhal were likely to be made government witnesses. The two were questioned again on Wednesday.

Following the arrest of Vaze, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has continued to interrogate Riaz Qazi and Prashant Oval and three others. By questioning them, information was being sought about his involvement in the crime. However, authorities have not found any clues about Vaze's direct or indirect involvement in the car bombing. However, it is understood that they gave important information about the working of Vaze. Therefore, the investigating officers are of the opinion that Qazi and Oval should be made government witnesses in this case. It is understood that further action will be taken soon.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police Commissioner transferred 65 officers from the crime branch. That includes Riaz Qazi and Prashant Oval. Qazi has been transferred to the Armed Forces while Ovhal has been transferred to Malabar Hill Police Station.
