MNS chief Raj Thackeray in his letter to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackery on Thursday questioned the MVA government, why are the temples in state still closed?

He asked the state government, unlocking process is already on in various phases marked by unlock 1-2-3. Malls have been opened, public gatherings up to 100 people have been allowed. Amidst this, the god loving devotees are still being kept away from their God. Why is there such a resistance to opening up temples?

If the government ignores the pleas of the people in this respect, MNS chief threatened to put aside the restrictions laid and march ahead to see GOD.

Senior Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has responded to MNS chief Raj Thackeray's demand on reopening temples and said that the decision has been taken considering the health of people.

Raut responded to Raj's letter and said that the Chief Minister does not want everything to be closed. "On the contrary, the CM sincerely wants temples to re-open. He is likely to take a decision soon."

Raut further said that the number of covid-19 cases in the state are increasing, therefore, the opposition should discuss the matter with the Chief Minister.

"In a democracy, all opponents have the right to speak to the Chief Minister. There is no need to take to the streets for that," said Raut in response to Raj's warning that he may decide to take to the streets if his plea was not acted upon.
