The purported WhatsApp chats between Republic TV managing director Arnab Goswami and BARC CEO Partho Dasgupta which have been widely reported in the media.It is alleged that the purported chats show Goswami knew the details of the February 2019 air strike on a terror camp in Balakot town of Pakistan beforehand.
Shiv Sena leader MP Sanjay Raut has asked why the BJP government at the Centre is silent. Raut targeted the BJP, saying that if there was Congress or any other party government at the Centre today and if BJP was in the opposition, they would have resorted to violence. He commented on this while interacting with the media. While interacting with the media, he commented on many issues such as the farmers' movement and the fire at the Serum Institute.
"If a soldier would have given out information like Arnab Goswami, he would have been court-martialled. He would have been declared a traitor. He would have been considered a threat to the security of the country. But why is BJP silent now ?, "Raut asked.
It is good BJP leaders filed offences against makers of Tandav web series over its content, but they will be truly men if the party registers cases also against journalist Arnab Goswami who insulted martyrdom of Indian soldiers, the Shiv Sena said on Thursday.
The Shiv Sena also alleged that the media which creates ruckus even if one is found possessing 100 grams of ganja (cannabis) is not ready to hold national debate on Goswamis alleged act of treason.
