A charge sheet has been filed in the murder of Massajog village Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh, naming Valmik Karad, an associate of Dhananjay Munde, as the main accused. Dhananjay Munde resigned as minister following the filing. Manoj Jarange Patil has now accused Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis of involvement in the murder, alleging Fadnavis secretly ordered police to halt the investigation. Jarange Patil claims further revelations will surface, stating meetings related to the case occurred at Fadnavis's government bungalow.
Jarange Patil asserts that Dhananjay Munde is implicated in the murder (Section 302), but Fadnavis has obstructed the investigation, hindering the SIT, CID, and local police despite their knowledge of the facts. He described Munde as a "poisonous snake" and warned of future regret.
Jarange Patil demanded a case be registered against Dhananjay Munde, alleging the murder plot was initially conceived at Munde's office. He further claimed the investigating agency possesses evidence against Munde, but Fadnavis's lack of authorization is preventing the case from proceeding.
