Malkapur: A speeding car ran over and crushed four women who were sitting along the roadside selling vegetables. In this accident, one woman died in the mishap, while two other women along with a thirteen-year-old girl sustained serious injuries. The accident took place around 7:30 pm on Wednesday March 25, 2026 around 7:30 pm. Following the crash the crash, the speeding car came to a halt after getting stuck on a roadside parapet. The injured individuals have been identified as Rupali Maruti Patil, Dipali Sachin Hulwan, and Gyanada Sachin Hulwan .
The vegetable market is held directly on the road at the Koyna Colony locality. On Wednesday evening, between 7:00 and 7:30 PM, the driver of a car which was traveling at high speed towards the highway lost control of the vehicle. Consequently, the car veered off the road and crashed into the group of women sitting along the roadside to sell vegetables.
In this accident, the car ran over and crushed the four female vegetable vendors. Immediately after the accident, local vegetable vendors rushed all four injured women to Krishna Hospital for treatment; however, doctors there pronounced one of the women dead upon arrival.
Meanwhile, the thirteen-year-old girl and the two other women are currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). After the initial impact, the car struck a roadside signboard before coming to a halt after getting stuck on the parapet. Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the car in question was being driven by a woman.
