Police in Akola have filed a case of sexual harassment against officials at a government Urdu medium school.  The accusations include the sexual harassment of all female teachers, with those who refused to comply facing removal from the school and withheld payments.

According to Pyare Khan, Chairman of the State Minority Commission, the situation is deeply disturbing.  He alleges that the accused official constructed a room on the school premises where female teachers were taken and physically assaulted.

Pyare Khan, Chairman of the State Minority Commission, said, "They sexually harassed all the female teachers. Those teachers who do not comply are being removed from the school, and their payments are withheld. The most disturbing part is that the accused has a room built in the school's premises where he takes the female teachers and beats them..."

One secretary-level official has been arrested in connection with the case, while three others remain at large.  The investigation is ongoing.
