Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday said that,"One suicide case is being talked about for the last three months. Ignoring other issues is not right. Farmers are also dying by suicide, the government needs to focus on that too."

He said, "Any suicide is sad. Why is the entire country obsessed over one case when so many farmers are committing suicide."

Pawar also said that he will observe a day-long fast on Tuesday to protest the suspension of eight Rajya Sabha members of the Upper House.

NCP chief's comments have raised eyebrows at a time Sushant Singh Rajput death investigation case has seeded a political fight between the Maha Vikas Aghadi government and the opposition BJP.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai on June 14. Though the Mumbai police investigated it as a suicide, the case was taken over by the CBI after the actor's family filed a case in Bihar pointing fingers at his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.
