Shiv Sena IT Cell on Tuesday has filed a complaint against Kangana Ranaut. The complaint was filed at Shrinagar Police Station in Thane.

It has been reported that the team seeks the FIR under the charges of "sedition for her Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) remarks on Mumbai."

Kangana Ranaut's tweets comparing Mumbai city to Pakistan occupied Kashmir has angered many politicians, actors and citizens. After the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, actress Kangana Ranaut said she feared Mumbai Police more than the "movie mafia".

Sanjay Raut threatened Kangana not to return to Mumbai after the actor compared Mumbai with Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

Kangana said that Sanjay Raut had threatened her not to come back to Mumbai, "Sanjay Raut Shiv Sena leader has given me an open threat and asked me not to come back to Mumbai, after Aazadi graffitis in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?"

For the unversed, Kangana had previously heavily criticised the Mumbai Police over Sushant Singh Rajput's death probe. This caught Sanjay Raut's attention who suggested Kangana shouldn't return to Mumbai. This led to Kangana tweeting, "Sanjay Raut Shiv Sena leader has given me an open threat and asked me not to come back to Mumbai, after Aazadi graffitis in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?"
