Shiv Sena in its editorial mouthpiece Saamana called Kangana Ranaut "mental woman" while saying that she has no right to live in Maharashtra.

Sena further said that Ranaut’s remark,'Mumbai is like now Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir' was an insult to all the Marathi people and martyred soldiers who sacrificed their lives for Mumbai.

“This will not be tolerated if an outsider, who achieved everything from Mumbai, insults and speaks wrong about Mumbai... This act must be condemned in the state legislature,” Sena said.

“The mental woman who insulted Mumbai and the police does not have the right to live in Maharashtra, and this statement is already given by the Home Minister Anil Deshmukh without any hesitation. This has to be accepted. Opposition party needs to express confidence in Anil Deshmukh, and the entire police team during the session,” the party added.

Kangana Ranaut's tweets comparing Mumbai city to Pakistan occupied Kashmir has angered many politicians, actors and citizens. After the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, actress Kangana Ranaut said she feared Mumbai Police more than the "movie mafia".

Sanjay Raut threatened Kangana not to return to Mumbai after the actor compared Mumbai with Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

Kangana said that Sanjay Raut had threatened her not to come back to Mumbai, "Sanjay Raut Shiv Sena leader has given me an open threat and asked me not to come back to Mumbai, after Aazadi graffitis in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?"

Ranaut, who is currently in her home state Himachal Pradesh, had earlier tweeted that she will be coming back to Mumbai on September 9 and dared anyone to stop her.
