CM Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the temple of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Maradepada, Bhiwandi, on the occasion of Shivaji Jayanti. While addressing the people there, he said that apart from darshan of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, you will not get the results of your prayer.
He said, “Just like lord Ram’s darshan is incomplete without seeking darshan of lord Hanuman, similarly without Chhatrapati Shiv Rai’s darshan, the darshan of any other god, you will not get the results.”
Further, answering why we built this temple, he said, “It is because of Shivaji Maharaj that we worship our deities today. He won many wars for us, hence, we can worship our god.”
The official handle of CMO Maharashtra posted photos of CM Fadnavis while he inaugurated the temple. They captioned the post, “Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today inaugurated the 'Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Temple (Shaktipith) premises' at Shivkshetra Maradepada, Bhiwandi. Former Union Minister of State Kapil Patil, A. Kisan Kathore and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.”
The event featured other religious ceremonies, historical exhibitions, and rituals.
