In a shocking incident, a few police personnel and other men forced girls to strip and dance at the government-run Ashadeep Women's Hostel in Jalgaon Maharashtra.

Social organizations on Tuesday lodged a complaint with the district collector. It also presented a video of the act.

District Collector Abhijit Raut promised to take immediate notice of this.

The Department of Women and Child Welfare provides shelter and food to the destitute and unjust, oppressed women and girls in the hostel in Ganesh Colony.

There were complaints of malpractice happening in this hostel. Jananayak Foundation presidents Feroz Pinjari, Farid Khan, Mangala Sonawane and others reached the hostel on Tuesday afternoon and met the women and girls to find out more information.

Some of the girls alleged that with the help of some employees, outsiders and the police were being allowed to enter the house under the guise of interrogation.

Girls who denied to do fulfill their demand were beaten and threatened.

Social workers were not allowed inside. When the girls tried to speak, they too were harassed by the organization's staff.
