An incident of indecent behavior occurred on a bus traveling from Satara to Pune, where a passenger performed lewd acts in front of a female passenger, causing her significant distress. The perpetrator, identified as a 41-year-old man, was arrested by Rajgad Police after a diligent investigation.

The accused, Kamlesh Pralhad Shirsath, a resident of Ambegaon Khurd, Pune, originally from PMC Bank Area, Badlapur East, Thane, was apprehended following the woman’s complaint. On March 5th, at the Shirwal bus stop on the Satara to Pune route, Shirsath boarded the bus and sat next to the woman. He then proceeded to engage in inappropriate behavior in front of her, causing her embarrassment and distress.

Acting swiftly on the complaint, Rajgad Police were instructed by Police Superintendent Pankaj Deshmukh to take immediate action. Police Inspector Rajesh formed a special team to investigate and track down the accused. After meticulously reviewing over 70 CCTV cameras along the Satara-Pune highway and conducting around-the-clock efforts, the police successfully identified and arrested Shirsath. Police Sub-Inspector Ajit Patil, along with Constables Akshay Nalawade, Mangesh Kumbhar, and Vikas Salunkhe, were part of the investigation team.
