RPF personnel saves man from attempting suicide at Virar railway station

A video of a Railway Police Force personnel saving a man from attempting suicide has gone viral on social media. The whole incident was captured in the CCTV footage installed at the railway platform. The incident took place on 24 February. 

The RPF personnel averted a suicide attempt when they dragged a man out of railway tracks where he was lying down as a train was approaching him, at Virar railway station in Mumbai. As per reports, the man was allegedly disturbed by the demise of his mother.

The CCTV footage shows the man stepping down from the platform at Virar railway station and lying down on the railway tracks after spreading a bedsheet. Immediately, an RPF personnel rushes towards him and drags him away from the track. Seconds later, two more RPF jawans persons also rush to the spot to avert the suicide attempt. The three managed to pull the man to safety just a few seconds before the train arrived.
