Solapur, Maharashtra (June 18, 2025): A man died and two others were injured in a tragic accident at Sayajiraje Water Park in Akluj, Solapur district on Wednesday after a rotating amusement ride malfunctioned. The deceased was identified as Tushar Dhumal, 38, a resident of Takrarwadi in Indapur taluka. According to officials, Dhumal was on a rotating swing ride when the chain holding one of the cabins reportedly snapped. The seat platform detached and fell to the ground with heavy impact. Dhumal suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital but died during treatment. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

Two others were injured in the same incident. They were identified as Vaibhav Solankar from Baramati, another man, and a woman. All are currently receiving treatment and their conditions are reported to be stable.
Dhumal is survived by his wife, two children, a brother, and his parents. His sudden death has caused shock and sorrow in his hometown.
According to reports, more than 300 agents from a Pune-based company named 'My Life' had gathered at the park for a leisure trip after completing sales targets. The accident happened during this group visit. The cause of the ride failure is yet to be determined.
The Sayajiraje Water Park is a popular destination in Solapur district. Tourists from surrounding areas often visit the park, especially during holidays. The accident triggered panic in the park. Akluj police reportedly rushed to the spot after being alerted and began preliminary investigations.
