Sushant Singh Rajput's death case with new revelations, twists and turns daily, the case has now turned murkier and the demand for a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has gained more strength.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday slammed the demands for a CBI probe by the Opposition and some Bollywood personalities in the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
"I would like to condemn those who are raising questions over the efficiency of the police. The Mumbai police is not inefficient. If anyone has any proof about the case they can bring it to us and we will interrogate and punish the guilty," said Thackeray.
Now Sushant Singh Rajput's family lawyer Vikas Singh has reacted to Maharashtra CM's comment on the whole issue saying,"Uddhav Thackeray doesn't know the law. In a criminal case, it's for prosecution to get the truth, not the complainant. Job of getting out the truth is that of Bihar police now not Uddhav, as Bihar police have registered the FIR."
The lawyer also reacted to Rhea Chakraborty's vidoe that she posted over the allegations regarding Sushant Singh Rajput's death. In the video, she said, "I have immense faith in God and in the judiciary. I believe I will get justice. Eventhough a lot of horrible things have been said about me in the electronic media, I refrain from commenting on the advice of my lawyers as the matter is sub-judice. Satyamev Jayate. The truth shall prevail."
Vikas Singh said, "Rhea coming in the video is not much of what she is saying but how she is looking. I don't think she would have worn that kind of a salwar suit ever in her life. This was to show herself as a simple woman."
An FIR was filed by Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh against actor Rhea Chakraborty in Bihar in connection with the death case under several sections including abetment of suicide.
Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14. A case was registered by the Mumbai Police and is being probed.
