Two weeks have passed since the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The investigation has revealed that Sushant was suffereing from depression.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut wrote an article in Saamna, the Shiv Sena party mouthpiece, Rajput had contracts with 6 producers when he committed suicide. Elaborating further, Raut says he was planning to make a biopic on George Fernandes. For this, out of the two names selected, one was that of Rajput himself, according to Raut. After watching him in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Raut felt that Sushant was fit for the role. But, Raut says, he was later ‘told’ that Sushant was suffering from depression.

Raut lashed out at media and accused it of converting a death into a festival. “A film producer says that he knew that Sushant would commit suicide. What did he do to save him?” asks Raut, going on to add, “When will the Sushant suicide trial be over? Cannot be said. After the death of Sushant, many people in the field broke their silence. But did this reveal the truth of the matter? It does not seem so. What is left to be investigated in this episode and what exactly is police investigating in this case? This actor was not working for some time. His mental state was not fit, in the same desperation of failure, he embraced death by hanging himself in his house at Bandra. But through this, the mafia and nepotism in Bollywood are out.”

Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14, at his Bandra apartment in Mumbai.
