On Wednesday, the police reported that approximately ten individuals sustained injuries in an accident involving a private bus transporting people who were returning from the Dussehra rally of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in Mumbai, which occurred in Thane district.

The incident occurred around 12.30 am on the Kolambe bridge on the Mumbai-Nashik highway near Shahapur. A truck rammed into the bus from the rear side pushing it onto the divider. In the meanwhile, another bus hit the truck from behind and overturned due to the impact.

According to an official, about ten individuals were hurt, including two critically. According to him, the cops cleared the road and moved to buses using cranes. According to a representative from the Thane rural police control room, the first bus was transporting about 20 persons who were returning from CM Shinde's rally in Mumbai. According to him, it was headed towards Sillod in the Nashik area.

The injured were taken to a local government hospital for treatment, said the official from Thane police’s rural control room.
