A fire erupted in the meter box room located on the ground floor of Building No. 22 in Ashirwad Society on Tulsidham Road, Dharamveer Nagar, resulting in the destruction of 90 meter boxes.

The fire brigade personnel from Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) successfully rescued approximately 150 individuals who were trapped inside the building due to the dense smoke caused by the fire. The incident occurred between 12:45 to 1 pm on Friday. The disaster management cell reported that the fire was brought under control after approximately one hour, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.

A sudden fire outbreak occurred in the meter box room located on the ground floor of Building No. 22 in Ashirwad Society. The fire rapidly engulfed the area, resulting in the release of a significant amount of smoke throughout the premises of the building. Upon receiving the information, the Chitalsar Manpada police, MSEDCL department, and Balkum fire brigade swiftly arrived at the scene. The fire emitted dense smoke from the ground floor, dispersing around the entire building.

In a remarkable effort, firefighters successfully rescued around 150 residents who were trapped inside the building. The incident resulted in the complete destruction of 90 meter boxes. The fire brigade personnel efficiently managed to bring the fire in the meter box under control within an hour, around 2 pm. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and according to the disaster management cell, initial suspicions pointed towards a short circuit as the possible cause of the fire.
