Four coaches of a goods train derailed near Boisar railway station in Maharashtra's Palghar district on Saturday, officials said. The derailment has not affected local train services, which are operating on schedule, according to the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Western Railway. "Four coaches of a goods train derailed near Boisar railway station in Palghar. Railway officials are present at the spot. Due to the derailment, there is no impact on local trains; they are running on time," the CPRO said.
This incident follows a series of similar derailments over the past week. On July 26, two wagons of a goods train derailed near Bhubaneswar railway station in Odisha. On July 22, the rear guard bogie of a goods train derailed during internal shunting at the Ranaghat yard in West Bengal. The same day, a freight train en route from Alwar Goods Station to Rewari derailed on the Mathura track around 2:30 a.m.

Additionally, a freight train on the Mathura track from Alwar Goods Station to Rewari also derailed around 2:30 a.m. The series of derailments began on July 20 when at least seven coaches of a goods train derailed between the Ghaziabad and Moradabad sections in Uttar Pradesh.
