Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday said that Uddhav Thackeray and his Shiv Sena faction could tie up with terrorist groups "Hamas and Lashkar-e-Taiba" for their own "selfishness"."For their own selfishness, they will tie the knot with Hamas and Lashkar-e-Taiba," Shinde said while speaking at a Dussehra rally in Azad Maidan.Shinde made this statement in reference to Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT) forming an alliance with Congress and the Samajwadi Party, as part of the Opposition's INDIA bloc for the Lok Sabha elections.

Earlier this month, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that the annual Dussehra rally will be organised at Azad Maidan instead of Shivaji Park.Last year, Eknath Shinde led a group of Sena MLAs against the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, resulting in MVA losing its majority in the state. This also led Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray to step down as CM ahead of a floor test.
