The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Saturday issued new guidelines which open up of more activities in areas outside the containment zones in Unlock 4.

Under the new guidelines, the Ministry of Home Affairs has allowed metro rail services from September 7 in a graded manner.

The Maharashtra government in the Unlock 4 is likely to restart monorail service in Mumbai for passengers. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) may start running the monorail soon.

There are also chances that the Mumbai Metro services may also start from September 7, as per the Unlock 4.0 guidelines issued by the MHA.  In this regard, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) will be issued by soon.

Meanwhile, the monorail is all set to get on track. However, the services will not start unless the state government provides permission.
