A massive fire broke out in a factory at the industrial estate of Aisha Compound in Kaman, Vasai East area of Palghar, near Mumbai. The incident occurred around 10.30 am on Friday, February 13. A video shared on a social site shows huge clouds of black smoke blowing out from the factory high into the air, causing panic in the area. 

After receiving the information, Vasai-Virar Fire Department reached the spot and was working to control the blaze. Aisha compound houses several industrial units, including a factory that manufactures colours. Firefighters rushed to the spot and began firefighting operations with three fire engines.

The blaze rapidly spread due to highly flammable colour-making materials stored inside the unit. The rising flames created fear among nearby residents. After continuous efforts, firefighters managed to bring the fire under control. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation. However, no injuries were reported, property worth several lakh rupees was destroyed.
