A fire broke out at a firecracker factory at Vangaon in Dahanu taluka of Palghar district around 10 am on Thursday. The impact of the blast was felt as far as 15 to 20 kilometers away from the village. Fire brigade has reached the spot and efforts are underway to douse the fire.

It has been raining in Palghar district for the last one hour. The workers in the factory are believed to have escaped on hearing about the explosion. The fire brigade is working on the scene and no casualties have been reported so far.
