A serious accident involving a garbage collection vehicle has raised safety concerns in Bhayandar West after an elderly woman was critically injured on April 3. The incident occurred around 8:30 am near Bhadrakali Temple when a dumper operated by the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation was reversing in the area. During the manoeuvre, the vehicle allegedly struck the woman, crushing her leg under its wheels. The impact caused severe injuries, leaving bystanders shocked and prompting immediate efforts to rush her for urgent medical assistance.

The injured woman was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment for her injuries. While her exact condition has not been officially disclosed, the injuries sustained are serious in nature and require close medical attention. The vehicle involved in the incident is operated by contractor Global Waste Management Pvt. Ltd..
