Mumbai– The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will publish the draft of its Sanitation and Health By-laws 2025 on its official website on April 1, 2025. The corporation has invited citizens, stakeholders, and policymakers to submit their suggestions and objections between April 1 and May 31, 2025.

The by-laws, which currently follow the 2006 version, have been updated as per modern requirements and governmental changes. The revised draft has been prepared under the guidance of BMC Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani and Additional Municipal Commissioner (City) Dr. Ashwini Joshi by the Solid Waste Management Department.

BMC’s Deputy Commissioner (Solid Waste Management), Kiran Dighavkar, urged citizens to participate actively in the process, emphasizing that public input is crucial in shaping policies for a cleaner and healthier Mumbai.
