In the investigation into the firing incident outside the residence of Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty, the Mumbai Crime Branch has recreated the entire sequence of events tracing the movement of a scooty from Pune to Mumbai.

During the recreation exercise, four accused arrested from Pune — Swapnil Sakat, Aditya Gaikwad, Siddharth Yenpure and Samarth Pomaji — were taken along by the Crime Branch team. According to sources, officials reconstructed every stage of the operation, beginning from the purchase of the scooty in Pune to transporting it by road to Mumbai.

The team also recreated the spots where the accused allegedly halted en route and the final act of parking the scooty outside Vile Parle railway station. Throughout the exercise, Crime Branch officials interrogated the accused and verified the information provided by them. The entire recreation process was videographed, and officials believe the footage will serve as crucial evidence against the accused in the case.

Sources further revealed that during questioning, the accused admitted that after delivering the scooty in Mumbai, the main accused Shubham Lonkar paid them an additional ₹11,000. Earlier, the Crime Branch had officially stated that the accused received ₹40,000. However, further investigation has revealed that a total of ₹51,000 was paid to them. Of this amount, ₹30,000 was spent on purchasing the scooty, while ₹21,000 was allegedly used for other expenses.

Meanwhile, sources said that custody of the sixth accused, Pravin Lonkar, will be taken from jail within the next two to three days as legal formalities are currently underway.

Two weeks after the incident, the shooter and his associate remain absconding, and police efforts to trace them are ongoing.
