A day before the Holi festival, Holika Dahan will be performed tonight, March 13, across India. Residents of BDD Chawl in Mumbai's Worli have created a 50-foot effigy of the 'Torres Scam' to seek justice for the victims of the Torres jewelry investment scam.
The 50-foot cutout of the effigy resembles a monster in formal wear. It has golden hands, with a diamond placed in one palm and banknotes strewn beside it. Meanwhile, special children in Agripada celebrated the festival with their classmates and teachers on Wednesday.

The festival commemorates the triumph of virtue over malevolence, symbolized by the legend of Prince Prahlada and the demoness Holika. According to the tale, Prahlada's unwavering devotion to Lord Vishnu led to Holika’s demise in the fire meant to consume him, underscoring the power of faith and righteousness.
