Mumbai Police have issued a third summons to stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra after he failed to appear for questioning regarding a satirical song about Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. A case has been registered against Kamra at Khar Police Station, and three other cases filed against him across the state— in Nashik Rural, Jalgaon, and Nashik (Nandgaon)— have also been transferred to Khar Police.

Since the case was registered, Mumbai Police had earlier summoned Kamra twice for questioning, but he failed to appear on both occasions. Following his repeated absence, a police team visited his father's residence in Mahim on Tuesday to verify his whereabouts. According to sources, Khar Police have now sent a fresh summons, directing Kamra to appear for questioning.
