Panic gripped residents of a housing society in Malad East after a leopard was spotted at the premises and captured on CCTV footage in the early hours of the morning.

According to information received, the incident took place between 3:00 am and 4:00 am at Raheja Heights Society in Malad East. The leopard was seen roaming the D-wing premises and was caught on surveillance cameras. It was also spotted walking through the society’s parking area.

A resident, Vijaykumar N. Borra, expressed concern over the incident, stating that this is not the first time a leopard has been sighted in the area. Similar incidents have been reported in the past as well.

The repeated sightings have raised serious concerns about the safety of residents, especially children, senior citizens, and pets living in the society.

Residents have urged the media to highlight the issue so that the concerned authorities and the Forest Department can take immediate action. They have also stressed the need to spread awareness among people to prevent any untoward incident.
