The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has registered a case against individuals who edited a Wikipedia profile with incorrect information about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Earlier, the Cyber Cell had sent a notice to Wikipedia, seeking a response. However, even after three days, Wikipedia did not reply. As a result, the authorities have initiated action against those responsible for the edits.

According to sources, around four to five people were involved in providing misleading information about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj on Wikipedia. The Cyber Cell had reportedly sent 15 emails to Wikipedia but received no response.

Following this, the Cyber Cell has now decided to take legal action against the Wikipedia editors who made the incorrect changes.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had already ordered an investigation into the matter.
