Commuters on the Mumbai Trans Harbour Sealink and Mumbai-Pune Expressway will soon benefit from an elevated corridor project around 1,100 crore. The project would be finished by February 2027, according to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).

The two main elevated corridors run from Palaspe Phata to the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and from the Chirle end of MTHL to Gavan Phata. It is anticipated that the started project will improve connection between Atal Setu and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and lessen traffic between the main intersections.

Due to construction at Kalamboli Circle, the Mumbai-Pune Expressway's Panvel exit has been closed for six months as of February 11.

According to traffic authorities, the road closure will affect all light and heavy vehicles heading towards Panvel, Mumbra, and JNPT. To promote efficient development and reduce traffic, the limitation will be in place around-the-clock.

Traffic from the Mumbai-Pune Expressway will be rerouted at Kon phata (9.6 km) onto NH-48 via Palaspe Circle for vehicles travelling to Panvel, Goa and JNPT.

In the direction of Taloja, Kalyan, and Shilphata, commuters coming from Pune to Mumbai must continue straight for 1.2 km onto the Panvel-Sion Highway, turn right under the Purusharth Petrol Pump flyover, and proceed via Roadpali and NH-48.

According to Tirupati Kakade, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Navi Mumbai, the limitation order was issued in accordance with the Motor Vehicles Act. "Once the project is completed, the traffic congestion at Kalamboli Circle will be significantly reduced," he stated.
