A 15-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted by a 20-year-old man after being lured under the pretext of knowing her father. The Malvani Police have arrested the accused and registered a case under sections of kidnapping, rape, and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
According to police officials, the incident took place on Saturday when the minor had gone to a nearby shop. The accused approached her, claiming that he knew her father and offered to take her to him. Trusting him, the girl accompanied the accused, who then took her to a house in the Malvani area where he sexually assaulted her.
Later, when the victim complained of pain, the accused promised to drop her home but instead took her to a secluded forested area and allegedly raped her again. Following the assault, the accused threatened the girl, warning her against informing anyone about the incident. The accused also filmed the crime and reportedly threatened to upload the video on social media if she revealed the matter. He further threatened to kill her family if she spoke out.
The terrified girl later approached the Malvani Police and lodged a complaint. Based on her statement, the police registered an FIR and arrested the accused on Sunday.
The victim, in her complaint, clarified that she had no prior acquaintance with the accused.The complaint states that the accused is a friend of her father and brought the victim to Malad area after promising to leave her with her father. The police are investigating the matter.
