Mumbai witnessed a tragic accident on Monday morning when a 27-year-old youth lost his life after losing control of his speeding bike. The deceased has been identified as Pranit Prakash Pawar. According to the police, excessive speed led to the mishap, proving fatal for him. The Juhu police have registered a case against Pawar for negligent riding, which resulted in his own death.

 

 

The incident occurred around 8:15 AM on S.V. Road near Bhavana Apartment in Vile Parle, as confirmed by the police. Amit Gorakhnath Sorte, a constable posted at Juhu Police Station and residing in the Worli Police Colony, was on duty at the time. Police officials, including station officer Rahul Shinde, received information about an accident at Vile Parle and rushed to the spot.

 

Upon reaching Golden Tobacco on S.V. Road, police learned that the injured biker had been shifted to Cooper Hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital, officials confirmed that Pranit Pawar had sustained serious injuries in the accident. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

 

 

During the investigation, an eyewitness, Ubaidur Rahman Afzal Sheikh, stated that he was driving a school van and had seen Pawar speeding on his bike near Bhavana Apartment. Suddenly, Pawar lost control, and his bike crashed into a road divider. The impact threw him onto the opposite lane, leaving him critically injured. Sheikh immediately informed the Mumbai Police control room, following which Pawar was rushed to Cooper Hospital, where he was declared dead.

 

 

Following the eyewitness statement, Juhu Police registered a case against Pranit Pawar under charges of negligent riding, which led to his own death. His family and relatives were later informed about the tragic incident. Further investigation revealed that Pawar was a resident of Khar and was traveling from Bandra towards Andheri when the accident occurred in Vile Parle.

 

Authorities have reiterated the importance of responsible driving and urged motorists to avoid over speeding to prevent such unfortunate incidents.
