A shocking incident of murder has come to light from Juhu, where a 55-year-old man was killed following a dispute. The accused allegedly attacked the victim with a wooden log, leading to his death. The Juhu Police have registered a case of murder and arrested the accused.

 

The incident took place on Sunday near St. Joseph Church in Juhu. The deceased has been identified as Babbu Mehatar, who lived on the pavement in the same locality. According to the police, the accused, Munna Gupta (55), who also resides on the pavement near Babbu, struck him on the head with a wooden log during a fit of rage.

 

Following the attack, Babbu collapsed unconscious on the spot. A pedestrian who witnessed the incident immediately informed the police. The police rushed to the scene and shifted Babbu to Cooper Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

 

During the investigation, the police reviewed CCTV footage from the area, which confirmed that the accused had assaulted the victim. The police subsequently arrested Munna Gupta and charged him with murder. During interrogation, Gupta reportedly confessed that he attacked Babbu due to ongoing personal disputes and frequent harassment by the victim.

 

Further investigation into the matter is underway, Juhu Police said.
