A tragic accident occurred in Borivali early Monday morning when a speeding car lost control and crashed into a divider, resulting in the death of the driver. The deceased, identified as 47-year-old Amit Suresh Agarwal, succumbed to his injuries following the high-impact collision.

 

According to Kasturba Marg Police, the incident took place around 5 AM on the Western Express Highway near Magathane Bridge. Amit Agarwal was driving his Ciaz car from Dahisar towards Borivali. With minimal traffic on the road, he attempted to drive at high speed but lost control. The vehicle first crashed into a road divider and then collided with a private bus.

 

Following the accident, the police rushed to the spot and immediately shifted the critically injured driver to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali, where doctors declared him dead. Further investigation revealed that Amit Agarwal was a resident of Borivali. His father, Suresh Agarwal, was informed about the accident, and the police recorded his statement.

 

In connection with the accident, Kasturba Marg Police registered a case against the deceased driver under charges of negligent driving leading to his own death.
