A tragic road accident took place on Tuesday afternoon in the MM Valley area of Mumbra, where two young men lost their lives and another sustained serious injuries after a private bus rammed into their motorcycle from behind.

 

The deceased have been identified as Sangam Rajesh Pulshare (21) and Avinash Ramdas Davande (19), both residents of Thakurpada, Samrat Nagar in Mumbra. The third youth, Mahesh Bhagwan Ware (18), was critically injured in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment at a municipal hospital. His condition is reported to be critical.

 

According to police officials, the three friends were travelling on a single motorcycle from Roshni Mahal towards Y Junction when the accident occurred. As they reached the MM Valley stretch, a private bus driven by Mustafa Hussain Shaikh (58) allegedly hit their bike from behind.

 

The impact of the collision was so severe that all three riders were thrown off the motorcycle and came under the front wheels of the bus. Sangam Pulshare and Avinash Davande sustained fatal injuries and were declared dead on the spot, while Mahesh Ware was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

 

The incident created panic in the area, drawing a large crowd at the accident site. Upon receiving information, Mumbra Police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation.

 

A case has been registered against the bus driver Mustafa Hussain Shaikh at Mumbra Police Station.

 

Senior Police Inspector Anil Shinde of Mumbra Police Station said, “Two youths died in this horrific accident, while one is undergoing treatment. A case has been registered against the bus driver and further investigation is underway.”
