The Bandra Court in Mumbai received a bomb threat email, reported IANS. The threat has triggered an immediate response from the Mumbai Police, and security has been deployed at the court. Mumbai Police and Bomb Squad are present at the spot. As soon as the officials were alerted, the police and bomb squad rushed to the court and carried out a thorough search. However, they have not found anything suspicious during the inspection of the court. Mumbai police has launched a probe and is tracing the source of the threatening email, will look for the identity of the sender, and will investigate the sender's motive behind it.
The Bombay High Court and several magistrate courts in Mumbai received bomb threat emails on Thursday, December 18. Following the alerts, the court premises were evacuated, and police teams began inspecting the locations. Court proceedings have been suspended for the day, while Bomb Squad personnel were deployed to carry out security checks.
The Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court also received a bomb threat email after a similar threat was reported at the Bandra Court earlier in the day. People present at the Andheri court complex were evacuated as a precaution. Court work has been halted, and teams from the Mumbai Police and the Bomb Squad are conducting thorough inspections of the premises.
The Nagpur District Court has received a bomb threat through an email reportedly sent in the name of “ISI Madras Tiger.” Following the alert, police officials and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) stepped up security at the court complex. A probe has been launched to identify the source of the threatening email, and authorities have urged residents and visitors to stay alert.
