Mumbai: All water billing services—including online payments, in-person payments at civic facilitation centers, and related services—will remain non-operational from 6 pm on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, to 9 am on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) undertakes a major upgrade of its ‘AQUA’ system.

The BMC’s Water Department will be migrating the existing AQUA system data to a secure cloud server during this period. As a result, no water bill payments or related services will be available at any BMC office or through its official website.

This scheduled downtime is part of BMC’s efforts to improve the performance, reliability, and future scalability of the AQUA water billing platform.

The municipal administration has urged citizens to cooperate during the temporary suspension of services and assured that the upgrade will lead to a smoother billing experience going forward.
