A serious case of harassment, stalking, and assault has come to light in Wadala, where a college student alleged that she was repeatedly harassed by a youth, who also attacked her fiancé with the help of his associates. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused, his accomplice, and two women, and initiated an investigation.

According to the police complaint, the 20-year-old student resides with her family in Wadala East, and is currently studying in college. The main accused, identified as Ayan Pandalekar (20), had allegedly been harassing her for the past three years. A prior complaint had also been lodged at Matunga Police Station, but his behaviour reportedly did not improve.

The victim stated that on March 26, 2026, around 3 pm, she was on her way to a beauty parlour in Chindhi Galli for a course when the accused followed her there. Sensing the situation, she immediately informed her fiancé, Sultan ,over the phone.

When Sulatan reached near the Sunni Kabristan in Wadala, Ayan, along with his associate Ruman, allegedly confronted and assaulted him. The duo reportedly attacked him with their hands, targeting his face and back.

The situation escalated further when, later, the accused and his associates allegedly attacked Sultan again near a bank, where the victim had arrived with a relative. When the student tried to intervene, Ayan allegedly molested her with inappropriate intent.

Upon her resistance, the accused’s mother, Meheraj Pandalekar, and another woman, Raheela Pandalekar, allegedly joined in, physically assaulting the victim and her fiancé while also abusing them verbally.

Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of law. Further investigation is underway, and appropriate legal action is expected to follow.
