A recent video showed the horrific event of a slab of concrete from an overhead flyover flying into the windscreen of a driving car below. The mishap did not result in any injuries. The incident occurred a few days ago, and an X user shared it on their page. A police officer who was on the scene quickly examined the scene as a man who might have been the car's driver closed the door with obvious distress, piercing the windscreen as the concrete beam fell on the movie car below.
The video was posted by X user, @zoru75. He wrote on X, “Don't spend all your time looking down for potholes Keep an eye out above too. This is Mumbai. Anything & everything can fall from anywhere. This video is from about 2 days ago. Thankfully no one was injured. But it's only a matter of time before Mumbai's luck runs out.”
The April 4 video shows a scenario where a police officer and other people are standing next to a car that has a concrete beam protruding from its broken windscreen. The officer is already waiting when the driver, clearly incredulous, closes the door and approaches the front of the vehicle at the beginning of the video. Nearby, observing the destroyed car, is an elderly woman who seems to be a bystander. The camera tilts upward while the driver and police take pictures of the vehicle, revealing a section of the overhead bridge where a piece of concrete is missing. However, it remains unclear whether this missing section is the one that struck the car.

Although there are no precise facts available, the occurrence took place in a crowded area. According to a Reddit post by user nyxxxtron in the subreddit r/Mumbai, the location is Mira Road, and the concrete beam is from ongoing Metro construction. In contrast, the X post from @zoru75 states that the place is in Ghatkopar beneath a flyover.
