A 13-year-old boy was killed by a man during the confrontation for allegedly molesting her sister. The incident took place in the Govandi area of Mumbai, where Deonar police have arrested a 28-year-old man in the case on Sunday morning, March 2. 

The accused, identified as Sayyab Al Baddruddin Sawant, a loader by profession, who resides in Dr Zakir Hussain Nagar, Govandi. 13-year-old victim on Saturday night confronted accused Sawant over the alleged molesting of his sister, reported The Indian Express newspaper.

During the confrontation, an heated argument broke out between the minor and the accused, which later turned into a violent scuffle when Sawant allegedly banged the minor boy’s head against the ground and later kicked him in his face multiple times, according to the FIR.

The minor was rushed to the Rajawadi hospital where doctors declared him dead. A case of murder was filed by the minor's uncle at the Deonar police station. Police launched an investigation and arrested the accused from Govandi. Sawant was arrested under section 103(1)(murder) of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), said sub-inspector P Patil of the Deonar police station.
